History
Why the name Vikings Landing? About 900 A.D. the land this home sits on used to be Viking Territory on the Shannon river. Over the years small Viking artifacts have been found. A Viking boat was even found on the property about 80 years ago.

Fun is just around the corner. Being that you are literally staying lakeside, you have plenty of options for fun on the lake. Renting a boat, jet skiing, sailing or fishing are all within your reach. One of the oldest sailing clubs in the world is located just minutes down the street in Dromineer. If you visit in the summer, visit the wonderful Lake Cafe and let the kids enjoy the day at the Aqua Splash Water Park. Hungry or thirsty? The home was built with one thing in mind ? having a front-row seat of beautiful Lough Derg. When we originally built the home, we intentionally selected the site on a steep hill close to the lake. The home sits 60 feet (20 meters) above sea level, providing an amazing view of the lake.Anyone looking to experience Ireland in its true beauty will fall in love with our home, for it provides the tranquility and peace you have been looking for. While we do provide full internet access, we don?t provide an extensive array of TV channels. We found, over the years, not many people watch TV when they are here. People prefer to get out and experience everything the area has to offer.
