Exclusive Lakefront Home on 5 Acres. Vikings Landing is a gated lake-front property in beautiful Dromineer, Ireland. Built originally in 1996 and upgraded in 2016. You will have an amazing hillside view of Lough Derg (Lake Derg), free Wifi, a massive fireplace, 4+ acres of secluded private land and private lake-front property.
The home was built with one thing in mind � having a front-row seat of beautiful Lough Derg. When we originally built the home, we intentionally selected the site on a steep hill close to the lake. The home sits 60 feet (20 meters) above sea level, providing an amazing view of the lake. Of all the great things you can do in Ireland, sometimes just sitting in a quiet place an enjoying the tranquil nature is the absolute best.
If you are looking to get away from the bustle of everyday life and hear birds singing when you awake, then this may be the perfect place for you. Despite its abundance of outdoor activities such as hiking, sailing, biking or fishing, the property is only located about 8 kilometers from shopping.
The entire home is themed nautical, with oil paintings of old sailing ships adoring many of the walls. It wouldn�t be �Vikings Landing� if it didn�t also include a few pieces of Viking memorabilia.
The home sleeps comfortably up to 8 people in 3 total bedrooms. An additional air mattress is available upon request. The master bed room has a European king bed, private bathroom with shower and bathtub. The second bedroom has a European double-bed. The third bedroom, known as the kids room, can sleep up to 4 people in individual beds. One of the beds is a bunk bed. All bedrooms overlook the lake.
A massive fireplace is the center-piece of the living room. Towering almost 2 meters high (6+ ft), it provides ample ambiance for a relaxed evening by the fire. The sturdy dining room table comfortably seats eight people. A full kitchen with two sinks, ceramic cooktop, oven, microwave, etc provides all of the cooking amenities a person would want. A separate laundry room has a 5kg washing machine and 7kg dryer, both upgraded in 2017. Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a common bathroom with shower. A separate toilet is located at the opposite end of the home.
If you have kids � We recommend bringing good walking shoes. At dusk and dawn, it is not unusual to see a Fox or Mink on our property. You may also want to consider renting bikes or enrolling them in one of the sailing courses at the Shannon Sailing club. See Resources page for links. Do any of these things, and find yourself at peace by 8pm, for they will be dead asleep, exhausted from an event-filled day.
This home is on a private, gated property. Please note, smoking is not allowed inside.
