Galway Introduction
Located on Ireland�s west coast, Gallway is a city in County Galway in the province of Connacht. Approximately 80,000 people call it home. During the Middle Ages, Galway was ruled by a group of fourteen merchant families, many of them with Norman heritage. The city thrived on international trade, and in the Middle Ages was the principal Irish port for trade with Spain and France. As we continue to visit this town we will post more and more about it.
